This month marks the
beginning of spring and thoughts of longer days and warmer weather.
Fortunately this past winter has been a kinder less harsh one than last
year.
On March 27th
we are holding a Beer Tasting Evening with Mirella Amato. Mirella is a
member of the Canadian Amateur Brewers Association and has judged in a
number of competitions. This should be an informative and fun evening.
Newsletter Distribution
Chair Ed Gilmore has resigned from the executive due to other
commitments. We are looking for someone to come forward and volunteer
to fill this executive position. Newsletter Distribution chair is a
key position for the association as distribution of the newsletter is
an essential part of our communication to the community. Below is a
brief description of the duties of Newsletter Distribution Chair.
� Maintain master
distribution list for CCRA newsletter
� Ensure printer has
up-to-date newsletter distribution list for monthly printing.
� Ensure distribution
Captains receive newsletter parcels for distribution.
� Periodically review
and update the quantity of newsletters to be printed
� Manage newsletter
distribution within the community
If anyone is interested
in volunteering for this or would like to discuss it further do not
hesitate to contact me or someone on the executive.
We also need a volunteer
to take on the role of Distribution Captain to drop off 11 bundles of
newsletters at the following locations; Linderwood, Kilsyth, Brimwell,
Mc Grath, Centennial, Tilley, Haviland, and Wichey. The newsletters are
all bundled and labelled at the printers and dropped off at your house
ready for delivery to someone on each of the streets listed above.
Deliver should take no longer than 30 minutes at the beginning of each
month except for July and August when we do not issue newsletters.
Looking ahead to spring
Earth Day will be held on April 24th. We’ll have more
details on this in our next newsletter.
Membership Chair Betty
Karsh is getting ready for our annual membership drive. She expects to
have the membership kits for the canvassers ready in April in advance of
canvassing in May. If you are interested in helping out with canvassing
please do not hesitate to contact Betty.
