I hope
everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer despite the wet cool weather for
a good part of the summer.
On June
20th we held Highland Creek Heritage Day. Unfortunately the weather
did not co-operate with most of the day being rainy and cool.
Despite the weather we were able to hold the parade but some of the
planned afternoon activities were not held. Nevertheless the turn
out from the community was great in spite of the weather. CCRA is
pleased to provide a financial contribution to ensure the success of this
event. Unfortunately the Summer Concert series had to be
cancelled due to the strike at the City.
The City
of Toronto along with other community groups and the CCRA is planning a
week long community celebration September 21-26. During this
week we will be marking the:

Anniversary of CCRA,

25TH
Anniversary of the Port Union Recreation Centre,
-
25th
Anniversary of the Port Union Seniors,
-
25th
Anniversary of the Port Union Library.

along Port Union Rd to Port Union CC for a free lunch.
