The Johns-Manville operation at Lawrence Avenue and Port Union Road encompassed all of the area presently known as the Brookfield development as well as the area presently known as the Manson Lands. The Ontario Ministry of the Environment accepted the Brookfield site as clean several years ago. The Manson lands remain to be remediated. The old Manville/Manson buildings remain to be demolished. Over the course of the years, a great deal of information has accumulated about the area.
