The 2nd Highland Creek Cubs and Scouts would like to
thank the Centennial community for their generosity.
The results are in and all of our hard work has paid off. The 2nd Highland
Creek Cubs and Scouts collected an amazing 8,296 pounds of food for the
Food Bank - one of our best years ever!
Over the past 8 years, we have collected 61,516 pounds of food (equivalent
to over 30 tons)! Many deserving individuals will now have a better
Christmas because of the generosity of the Centennial community. All food
donations will support the food bank run by the Scarborough Centre for
Health Communities.
A big thank you goes out to all Centennial residents who have supported
this event for the past 29 years! Thanks goes out to the youth and leaders
who went door to door to collect food from over 2,700 homes, to the
Cenntennial community for supporting our youth and the Food Bank, and to
Heather Urbansky for all of her assistance for many years.
Thanks for making this a a great event for the youth, for Scouts and for
our community.
